Dashboard Formulas
Bring cross-board calculations into your monday.com dashboards.
monday dashboards chart columns well, but cross-board maths usually means exporting to a spreadsheet. Dashboard Formulas adds formula widgets that calculate ratios, aggregates and other KPIs from current board data, including cross-board and mirror-column references.
Illustrative preview · Example data
The number you need lives on three different boards.
Dashboards are good at showing one board at a time. The moment a real question spans boards (totals across regions, ratios between pipelines), the answer leaves monday and lands in a spreadsheet.
That spreadsheet is re-exported, re-checked and re-sent every week, and it is stale the moment it is attached.

What this app helps your team do.
Cross-board aggregation
Formulas aggregate across boards, groups and columns.
Current-data results
Run the widget to compute the result from the board data available at that moment.
Visual formula builder
Compose calculations without writing syntax from scratch.
Limits and requirements, explained upfront.
- Formulas read the boards and columns the viewing user can access.
- Very large boards can take longer to aggregate.
- monday.com only.
What setup and ongoing management look like.
Widgets are configured per dashboard by anyone who can edit that dashboard, and formulas can be edited at any time. Formula calculation reads through monday.com's APIs. If Advanced write-back is enabled, the app can update only the Numbers or Text column selected for that configuration. Removing the app stops future calculations, write-backs and reports; values already written remain as monday.com data.
What the app can access, and why.
Check the app's runtime, permissions, storage and external connections before enabling it. These details are specific to this app.
- Runs on
- monday code; monday.com's app hosting environment.
- Reads
- Board, group and column data through monday's APIs, within your account context.
- Can change
- Standard widget use does not change board data. Advanced write-back can update a user-selected Numbers or Text column when configured.
- Stores
- Install state, formula, write-back and report configuration, operational metadata, encrypted OAuth token records and scheduled report files when enabled.
- Storage location
- monday-managed Server Storage, DocumentDB and Object Storage used by the app; no Progressify-operated external database.
- External connections
- monday.com API and OAuth endpoints only; no third-party service connections.
- Data retention
- Account-associated data is designed to be deleted on uninstall. Final scheduled-report and logging retention terms will be published before installation is offered.
- AI use
- None.
